Hello! My name is Carolyn Mortellaro and I am the owner of The Handbag Boutique in Nashua, New Hampshire. While I looked for retail space to rent, I was selling bags from my dining room!  Friends, neighbors, and even our babysitters became loyal customers and walking advertisements! I was off to a good start with great word of mouth advertising when I opened the boutique at 178 Main Street, Downtown Nashua on November 1, 2002.

I am married to my “high school sweetheart” and we have three children. We have lived in eight different cities throughout the U.S. over a twelve-year period.  Nashua quickly became our favorite.  It seemed only natural to turn my 30+ yearlong affection for handbags and all the little essentials girls carry, into a growing family business!

My husband is our #1 handy man and supporter. The kids enjoy helping with unpacking, pricing and displaying the merchandise, window display designs, bagging the packages with pretty tissue and using the antique cash register whenever possible!

I have learned a great deal from my good friend and fellow small business owner, Vicki Martelli.  We travel to NYC, Boston and Atlanta on buying trips several times a year.  Vicki is the owner of The Purple Rose on Rt. 20 in Northborough, MA. POLICIES

Returns: In store returns are accepted when accompanied by a receipt, within 7 days of purchase, for the same form of payment. (There is a 10-day wait period for personal checks) If there is no receipt, a store credit will be issued in the form of a gift certificate for the current selling price of the returned merchandise. On-line purchase returns are accepted within 3 days of receiving your merchandise and ONLY when accompanied by a RA# (“return authorization”) that you must obtain by phone at 603-880-4100.

Shipping: Minimum shipping & handling for on-line and/or phone orders is $6. Oversize items will be weighed and charged an additional fee according to USPS rates.
